Help for patients
If you were hurt at work or in an auto accident, HealthLift may be handling the billing for your prescriptions. Here is what that means for you and how to reach us.
What HealthLift does for you
When a pharmacy fills a prescription for a work injury or an auto accident, the bill goes to the insurance company responsible for your claim (your employer’s workers’ compensation carrier, or the auto insurer), not to your regular health plan. HealthLift handles that billing on the pharmacy’s behalf, so you can get your medication without paying for it yourself while the claim is worked out.
If the pharmacy could not fill your prescription
Ask the pharmacist to call our pharmacy help desk while you are there. A person answers, and most problems can be fixed while you wait.
- Workers’ compensation: 844.328.2048
- Auto no-fault: 844.569.8876
It helps to have your claim number, your employer (for a work injury) or auto insurer (for an accident), and the date of the injury or accident ready. Do not send these details by email or through a web form. We will ask for them by phone, where we can confirm who you are.
If we sent you a letter
Our letters ask for something specific, such as a detail about your injury or your insurer. Call the number printed on the letter, or the help desk below, and have the letter in front of you. Please do not reply by email with personal details.

Questions about your claim
Call the help desk and a person will look up your prescriptions with you. For a general question that does not need your claim details, you can also send us a message.
Finding a pharmacy
Most pharmacies can fill a workers’ comp or auto prescription through HealthLift. If yours is unsure, ask the pharmacist to call our help desk, or call us and we will help you find a pharmacy near you.

If you received a bill
If a pharmacy or HealthLift sent you a bill for a work-related or accident-related prescription, call the help desk number above before paying it. In most cases it should be billed to the insurance company handling your claim.
